A full set from the fifties of the Eric Lachmann Collection. These are exquisite high resolution black and white photos of common and some very un-common string instruments made in the 15th through the 18th centuries.  When my uncle Arnold Clair was the head of the music department at the University of RI in the fifties and sixties they decorated his home office.  The collection is mounted on matt paper with descriptions on the back. The matts are so so, but  the photos are perfect.
