| Item No. 94-1 Nice old German Guanerious copy. This is a total reconstruction I did back in 1994 which I just took back on a trade in. It has brilliant reddish gold varnish. During reconstruction it was fitted with all new interior blocks and the plates were tuned. Several cracks in the top were repaired and fully cleated on the inside of the top. A gorgeous instrument with matching heavy deep flamed maple on the back and sides. |

| Item No. 96-3 1890's Franz Liebig, Dresden Germany, made for J. W. Pepper Importers of Philadelphia. J. W. Pepper is still in business and I was able to date this instrument from conversations with their historian. This is an exquisitely made violin with carved floral peg head and double purfling. As with all my reconstructions the top cracks have been properly cleated on he inside as well as all blocks checked and replaced as necessary, along with tuning the top and back plates. A picture of the back of this violin showing the double purfling is on the home page of this web site. | being rebuilt after and unfortunate accident |
| Item No. 04-5 nice German Strad model from the 50's. Nice light to medium flame on sides and back. This violin has been totally reconstructed over a two year period with all new blocks and linings, finish fittings and more. The tables have been tuned to the the air volume of the corpus using traditional family methods. This is an excellent upgrade for the promising student. Violins with this amount of hand fitting and tuning can not be found for even double the price. | $1250 |
